On August 8, a meeting was held at the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center within the framework of the “Inclusive Teaching Skills Development” program.
The program was implemented by “Teach for Armenia” Educational Foundation with the financial support of UNICEF Armenia. Also, the project was implemented by the order of RA MօESCS, within the framework of the implementation of actions for the introduction of a universal inclusive educational system.
The concept developed by the project experts was discussed during the meeting, also the teaching training module that will be developed based on the current concept.
The meeting was attended by the director of RPPC A. Davtyan, the deputy director H. Adamyan, the program manager, the head of the inclusive education of “Teach for Armenia” educational foundation M. Khachatryan, the chief program expert, the director of “Education and Research” foundation, Associate Professor A. Avagyan, program experts: lecturer of the American University of Armenia Sh. Keoshkeryan, Getashen secondary school psychologist L. Vardumyan.
We should also note, that within the framework of this program:
- An inclusive teaching module for teachers will be developed.
- Mentoring support concept, methodology, and toolkit
- 60 mentors will be recruited, selected, and trained. Further, they will implement the program of continuous professional development of secondary schools’ teachers (training։ mentoring support).
