“Strengthening the educational system through the expansion of the works of the implementation of psychological support services in educational establishments and the reorganization of the Special school-resource center for children with hearing impairments” carried out in cooperation with the RA MoESCS, the USAID, UNICEF Armenia and the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center to implement the pilot program “Introduction of special pedagogical services for children in need of 3rd and 4th level of support in schools” on June 5, 2024, the experts of “Perkins International” organization and the Armenian representative of the organization, Zaruhi Harutyunyan visit RPPC.
During the meeting with the RPPC experts group, several organizational issues related to the implementation of the program were discussed, and the upcoming tasks and the order and sequence of actions implementation were clarified.
Furthermore, a meeting was held with the parents of children in need of 3rd and 4th degree support involved in the program. The participants got acquainted with the pilot program, and its implementation procedures, talked about the characteristics of the children, the peculiarities of the support activities due to them, and discussed the processes envisaged by the program, and the expected results. Then the experts answered parents’ questions.
A seminar on “Lesson organization and adaptations” was also held for specialists involved in the program, during which the participants supplemented their knowledge.
Within the framework of the three-day program, meetings with parents, presentation of the curriculum for students, as well as visits to schools were planned.
