In September 2024, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center and Kanani NGO, which is aimed at expanding the full and effective participation and equal opportunities of women/girls and men/boys in the field of education.
The cooperation laid the foundation for jointly developing and implementing effective mechanisms, as well as conducting activities in this direction. Among them are the awareness-raising courses for parents in Vanadzor on “The Role of Parents in Overcoming Gender Stereotypes during Early Socialization” topic.
During the courses, parents engage in various practical exercises that also uncover the gender stereotypes they have internalized since childhood, which may have hindered them in different life situations.
The module of the courses has been developed in collaboration with the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center.
The courses are conducted within the framework of the “Socialization without Discrimination: Promoting Healthy Emotions and Equal Relationships” project, which is implemented with the financial support of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Armenia.
