From June 15 to 19, 2026, master classes in alternative therapy were held at the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center for about 110 specialists from the RA Territorial Pedagogical-Psychological Support Centers (TPPSC).
The key goal of the Master Classes was to promote the development of participants’ self-expression, team involvement, and communication skills, as well as to improve their professional skills.
Within the framework of the classes, TPPSC specialists were introduced to the features and tools of alternative therapies, in particular, dance and clay therapy, as well as the possibilities and effectiveness of their application during professional activities.
The master classes were held by art therapists Anna Gharibyan and Taguhi Stepanyan from RPPC Department of Pedagogical-Psychological Assistance.
During the master class on the “Regulating Muscle Tension through Dance Exercises” topic, participants were introduced to methods of regulating muscle tension, techniques for developing free body mobility and coordination of movements through practical work and dance exercises.
The master class, held within the framework of the “Shell and Core” theme, was aimed at revealing the possibilities of personal development through clay therapy, studying the developmental trends of working with clay, the application of which practically contributes to:
- ✦ the recognition and differentiation of inner feelings, emotions and needs;
- ✦ reducing vulnerability and increasing self-esteem;
- ✦ studying personal boundaries and defense mechanisms;
- ✦ discovering alternative forms of self-expression;
- ✦ strengthening trust and self-confidence.
The Courses were interactive, engaging each participant and giving them the chance to learn new knowledge and working methods in a creative atmosphere.
TPPSC specialists learnt about the theoretical foundations of alternative therapies and their application in practice, which will help increase the effectiveness of their future professional activities.
