The series of webinars implemented in cooperation with the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center and “Perkins International” organization started.
The aim of the webinars is to ensure the exchange of best practices among specialists from different countries.
The first webinar on “COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS IN WORKING WITH COMPLEX DEVELOPMENTAL NEEDS” was held on April 11, 2023.
Special education teachers Martina Celizic and Nikolina Juric Tanfara, talked about the challenges in the development of communication, about multimodality, total communication, and level of functioning, which is important in creating communication systems. They distinguished between receptive and expressive communication in the context of working with people with complex developmental needs, explained the communication model and gave an overview of the forms of receptive and expressive communication with emphasis on the system symbols.
