Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center held a training course for trainers on the topic “Accessible Community Social Services” CLASS program” on February 22-23. The trainers were RPPC specialists Lusine Hakobyan and Ruzanna Muradyan. Those trainers of Yerevan TPPSCs’, who will continue the process by conducting training courses for school staff participated.
The training course is aimed at developing the abilities of specialists in the field of education, increasing the efficiency of the work carried out in the direction of identifying and solving problems of violence against children, and other problems of the field as well.
It includes 5 modules of a complete child protection system, which aims to:
- ✦ increase the awareness of specialists
- ✦ recognize violence against children
- ✦ RA legislative regulations
- ✦ create a safe and secure development environment
- ✦ respond to violence
- ✦ work on the direction of providing appropriate psychological services.
The participants will gain fundamental insights on
- ✦ child’s protection approaches,
- ✦ the laws and service providers operating in Armenia related to child protection,
- ✦ identification of violence according to physical and behavioral signs,
- ✦ the ability to apply child protection principles when responding to violence issues.
Note, the training module on “Prevention and response to violence against children” was developed in cooperation with the Republican Pedagogical-Psychology Center, the US Agency for International Development, the “World Vision Armenia”, Child Development Foundation within the framework of the ”Available Community Social Services” (CLASS) program.
