Deaf-pedagogue of the Department of Training and Methodological Support of the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center Sh. Dumikyan, conducted a training course on February 6-7, 2023 on the topic “Effectiveness of the usage of sound rhythms aimed at the speech formation and correction of children with hearing impairments”.
The speech therapists of Territorial Pedagogical – Psychological Support Centers and schools of Vagharshapat, Armavir, and Ashtarak took part in this training course.
The aim of the training course was to make the specialists aware of the sound rhythmic system, movements, ways of their application, and working methods used in the teaching process of children with hearing disabilities.
Specialists studied the following topics during the training course:
- ✦ the effectiveness of vocal rhythms during individual and group lessons,
- ✦ the role of breathing exercises during the formation of speech breathing,
- ✦ voice qualifiers and methods,
- ✦ children’s mastery of sound rhythmic movements during individual and group lessons,
- ✦ work on the syllable, word, and sentence with the principles of sound rhythm.
Additionally, various practical works, exercises, and games were used during the training course, which contribute to the assimilation and strengthening of the given knowledge.
