Within the framework of the “Improving the Pedagogical-Psychological Support Service for Children with SEN” project implemented in cooperation with UNICEF Armenia, from January 2023, the piloting of the new toolkit for assessing the need for special conditions of education has been started at the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center.
The work is going on in two stages.
- Training courses were held for 621 specialists of all TPPSCs of RA in the period from January to March of this year. The aim of the training course was to familiarize the participants with the basic ideas related to the organization and implementation of the SEN assessment, including the structure, application procedures and methodology of the SEN assessment toolkit.
- After the training courses, the process of piloting the toolkit was started in all regions of the RA. Also, in parallel with the piloting, the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center conducts practical training courses and joint assessments with the specialists of TPPSCs.
