Emilya has been working as a speech therapist at the “Anania Shirakatsi Seminary-Educational Complex” since 2002. At the same time, she carried out scientific, pedagogical, and speech therapy work in other educational establishments. Also, she is the co-author of many scientific articles, games, and seven methodological manuals. She participated in many training courses organized by Armenian and foreign specialists. Moreover, Emilya conducted a number of training courses for speech therapists and special educators in cooperation with various educational establishments.

“Double exceptionality” is the combination of giftedness with learning difficulties, attention or other cognitive functions, and behavioral disorders. Nowadays, the issues of education for these children are very relevant.
Children with “double exceptionality” need pedagogical approaches appropriate to their educational needs. The support provided to them should be aimed at developing their strengths (talent) and at the same time overcoming their weaknesses. Methodical approaches to working with these children and adaptations to the educational environment were analyzed as well.
