She worked in preschool and special education establishments as a special pedagogue and speech therapist, and at the Academy of Medical Sciences as well. Astghik has participated in many local and international training courses, conferences, and seminars. She is the author of about 25 scientific articles and a methodological manual.

The report presents the stages and features of the reading process implementation. Reading skills are a prerequisite for education and the assimilation of information in both elementary and middle school. It is a reliable way of navigating the information that the learner is dealing with. The skill of reading is the key to full learning and it is one of the most important means of communication as well.
