“MIASIN” theater troupe is part of the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center for already two years. So, we want you to know, that our young actors have many achievements in various spheres of life as well.
Drama therapy has a positive effect on children. It gives them opportunities for self-expression, helping them achieve success outside of art.
Fifteen-year-old Anna Davtyan, from “MIASIN” theater troupe, participated in the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 from 17 to 25 of June taking the 1st place in the long jump.
Note, 4 athletes from Armenia took part – 2 in athletics, and 2 in swimming. “MIASIN” theater troupe, parents, and staff of the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center were waiting for Anna with special enthusiasm. We welcomed Anna in our great hall to talk about Anna’s victory and future plans. She told about her participation Special Olympics World Games, the difficulties of achieving victory. Also, she spoke about methods of overcoming challenges, and how the experience and communication skills she gained in the theater group helped her. Anna also referred to the organizers of the Olympics – Special Olympics Armenia with great warmth.
Anna’s mother, Mrs. Armine, with great pleasure described the girl’s feelings, highlighting the role of the theater troupe and its leader Marine Asatryan in this success. “Anna’s ability to acquire communication skills, achieve unprecedented success in her chosen field, express herself, and reveal her hidden potential is due to the positive influence of drama therapy,” said Mrs. Armine.
All participants of the meeting wished great success in the future. Little Lina wished our champion the best of luck with everything that lies ahead.
The importance of taking care of her success was emphasized by the leader of the theater troupe, Marine Asatryan, presenting Anna with a symbolic tree of success. “Each victory requires effort and hard work, each success is a flower that needs to be taken care of. So may your victories flourish, dear Anna.”
