“Take the child to the theater or bring the theater to him today”
March 20th is World Day of Theatre and Performance for Children and Young People.
It has become a tradition in the Republican Pedagogical- Psychological Center to celebrate this day special way, once again revealing the potential of theater and the possibilities of inclusion.
RPPC “MIASIN” theater performed “AREVALUSIN” play, in which the Center’s employees-actors were also involved. Based on the fairy tales “Sun and the Moon” by Hovhannes Tumanyan and “The Taste of the Moon” by Michael Grejniec. “SUN and MOON” is an interesting combination of two different worlds, cultures, and thoughts in a theatrical work, where the edges of a fairy tale and reality mix, and a dream becomes a dream. available.

The performance has started…the characters transported the audience to the reality of the theater. Together they overcame the path of making the impossible possible, discovered the power of cooperation, and thus rising together, they were able to reach the Moon and “taste” it, then witness the meeting of the Sun and the Moon.
The message dedicated to the World Day of Theatre and Performance for Children and Young People was played, which this time was read by the audience. It is about the meeting between the child and the theater, and the importance and necessity of that meeting.
RPPC director Lilit Mnatsakanyan emphasized the potential and role of theater in the life of every person and in discovering the possibilities of every child. She emphasized the importance of children’s and youth theater activities, through which youth imagination is encouraged, making them flexible and confident towards themselves and others.
At the end of the performance, she presented awards to the actors.
The wonderful cooperation of children and adults, their immediacy in mastering the art of acting, and their relaxed play won the admiration of the audience. The excitement was great, and the reception was warm and immediate. The first night of the performance was, for sure, successful.
