With the support of the RA MoESCS the “Inclusion in the Field of cultural education” project was launched, which is implemented by the “Children Special Creative Center” SNPO. The autumn phase of this project held for teachers of music and art schools of Aragatsotn region at the school named after Artemi Ayvazyan in Ashtarak from September 25 to October 3.
The Republican Pedagogical-Psychology Center is one of the partners of this project.
Within the framework of the project, around 60 teachers of music and art schools in the region participated in theoretical and practical training courses aimed at developing inclusive teaching skills, eliminating stereotypes towards children with disabilities, and ensuring equal conditions for the realization of the right to education.
The training courses were held by the leading specialists of Armenia and abroad.
The participants got acquainted with the new principles and methodology of working with children with SEN, gained up-to-date knowledge about the features of inclusive education, the diversity of children, the legal framework, mechanisms of environmental adaptation and accessibility, pedagogical psychology and ethics, international experience and the methodology of inclusive education. In this way, they strengthen the acquired knowledge with practical work.
The “Inclusion in the Field of cultural education” project was summarized by RPPC Deputy director Haykuhi Adamyan and “FORMICA PRODUCTION” Executive Director Shahen Nazarenko.
H. Adamyan referred to the current state and existing issues of art education for children with SEN, as well as the Armenian experience of cultural integration.
Note, that the program started in March 2023. 295 teachers from educational establishments of Yerevan, Armavir, and Lori regions took part in the spring phase.
