The project “We create together” was implemented with the support of the RA MoESCS. The aim of this project is to stage and show children’s performance, ensuring the discovery of children’s creative potential and their full involvement in social life through modern art, regardless of the characteristics of physical and mental development.
In the framework of the program, the RPPC Inclusive theater troupe “MIASIN” staged the play “STRONGER THAN IT SEEMS” based on the novel “Winnie the Pooh” by Alan Alexander Milne. The inclusive theater troupe consists of 12 participants /children aged 7-16/.
All planned activities were carried out according to the schedule. A working team was created, which included drama therapist director Marine Asatryan and members of the RPPC support team (psychologist, speech therapist). At the initial stage of the project, meetings were organized with children and parents. The topic of the play was chosen. after developing the script, the roles were distributed by the children themselves.
Then a period of active rehearsals in a relaxed atmosphere begun. The opinion of each child was taken into account, helping them to get rid of a number of psychological problems.
Children had the opportunity to develop their own “voice” with the support and feedback of specialists within the framework of the program. The theater troupe performed in the National Center of Aesthetics ”Small Theater” in Yerevan (about 80 spectators) and in the Dramatic Theater-Cultural Center of Hrazdan, Kotayk region (about 300 spectators).
The performances had a great success! This effective attempt once again confirmed the importance of implementing the idea of an inclusive theater troupe in the RA regions as well.
The successful launch of the creation of diversity as a value for children and society through theatrical art, which means ensuring real inclusion in all spheres of public life, is underway.
