The fourth webinar was held in cooperation with the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center and “Perkins International” on the “Realization of developmental and functional goals within the framework of the lesson” topic on June 27, 2023.
The speaker of the webinar was expert of “Perkins International” Nikolina Mihalić Kocijan, who presented the functional training meaning for students and specialists. She spoke on how a specialist implements the development and functional goals of each child’s individual curriculum through lessons, what is the comprehensive approach, why it is used, and what are its advantages and disadvantages.
Nikolina Mihalić Kocijan also talked about a number of important components for creating an individual curriculum, which helps to assess the needs of the student and understand his/her strengths and opportunities, taking into account the environment where the child lives.
Additionally, she presented the strategy, which defines the approaches to achieving the goals, the level of assistance provided, the necessary adaptations, and the means and opportunities to include all this in the lesson.
