A meeting was held at the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center with the participation of the directors of the RA Territorial Pedagogical-Psychological Support Centers on October 2, 2024, which RA MօESCS deputy minister Araqsia Svajyan conducted.
Welcoming the attendees, A. Svajyan emphasized the changes that took place in the system of education organization, referred to the scope and terms of implementation of pedagogic-psychological support services by TPPSCs’, the summary of the results of the monitoring of students’ IEPs, the effectiveness of the conducted training courses, the current works of the sphere, in particular:
- ✦ providing accessible physical environments and reasonable accommodations in schools
- ✦ effective organization of work in resource rooms
- ✦ procedures for filling out the IEPs
- ✦ TPPSC-school cooperation
- ✦ procedures for the provision of pedagogic-psychological support services by TPPSCs
- ✦ involvement of all children in the learning process
- ✦ staffing of psychologist positions in schools and organization of work
During the meeting, the work carried out by the TPPSCs was summarized, the upcoming tasks were specified, and recommendations were made to develop mechanisms to organize the activities of the TPPSCs more effectively. Then there was a question-and-answer session.
