On June 9, 2026, the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center hosted a regular working meeting with the participation of the directors of the RA Territorial Pedagogical-Psychological Support Centers. Chief Specialist at the Department of General Education of the RA MoESCS Anahit Muradyan was also present at the Meeting.
Welcoming the attendees, RPPC Director Lilit Mnatsakanyan drew attention to the key topics on the agenda. In particular:
- ✦ Reference was made to the events (workshops, round-table discussions, seminars, training courses) organized by TPPSCs within the framework of the Year of the “Safe and Secure Educational Environment”, emphasizing their importance and the need to ensure their continuity.
- ✦ The efforts aimed at forming Student Protection (SP) teams in schools were highlighted, with particular emphasis on the consistent commitment of TPPSCs in the effectiveness of this initiative.
- ✦ The actions and processes implemented by RPPC to ensure the students’ Psychological safety were presented in detail.
- ✦ Among the priorities, the planned actions for the technical upgrading of the Territorial Pedagogical-Psychological Support Centers were considered, which are aimed at increasing the efficiency of their operations and improving monitoring mechanisms.
- ✦ Issues related to amendments in the procedure for financing the activities of the Territorial Pedagogical-Psychological Support Centers were discussed. The directors presented their observations, making recommendations based on local priorities.
- ✦ The projects implemented in cooperation with various partner organizations were summarized:
- 🗸 The training Courses on “Mechanisms and Features of Responding to and Directing Incidents of Domestic Violence” topic, implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia and the UN Population Fund, with the participation of TPPSC Directors and Psychologist.
- 🗸 The pilot program “Development of the Education System through the Implementation of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) in Education”, carried out by RPPC in cooperation with UNICEF and with the support of the Government of Japan. Details of the upcoming summary event to bring the process together were also clarified.
The Meeting also addressed a number of other key issues in the process of organizing education, and considered the problems and challenges emerging in the working process of TPPSCs and the directions for their solution.
