Within the framework of cooperation with the Republican Pedagogical- Psychological Center and UNICEF Armenia on April 8-10, 2024 the pilot training course on “CHANGING PERCEPTIONS-EMPOWERING TEACHERS: Interpersonal communication and community engagement to support inclusive education”, which was attended by educators from Kotayk and Vagharshapat educational establishments.
The trainers were the specialists of the Vagharshapat Territorial Pedagogical-Psychological Support Center T. Simonyan, S. Khanoyan, and specialists of Kotayk Territorial Pedagogical-Psychological Support Center R. Chepurnykh, N. Hovhannisyan and N. Atayan.
The training course aims to monitor the effectiveness of the modular course, to contribute to the strengthening of the professional capacities of training specialists of Kotayk and Vagharshapat TPPSCs, as well as teachers of preschool educational establishments and pedagogues of mainstream schools, forming skills to support the inclusion of every child, regardless of his/her social, religious, cultural, geographic, ethnic origin and disability.
H. Adamyan, H. Ohanyan, A. Gareginyan and L. Margaryan as experts of the pilot program practically introducing them to the principles and features of joint teaching.
During the training course, the participants got acquainted with the strategies and approaches to effectively implement the work with people of diverse culture by clarifying the issues raised, reflecting and providing feedback.
The training courses were full of active discussions.
